![]() I purchased the replacement screen from a vendor here in Melbourne. Updated the Video driver with the latest version from Dell. Updated the BIOS to the latest version from Dell. I have attached a bug report log, which also shows my various attempts to hack around the problem (different = kernel parameters, using a self-built 5.12 kernel in the hopes nouveau would work sufficiently etc.), but the currently running config should be sane (distro kernel, no special kernel parameters). However, it didnt matter where the settings were, the brightness always stayed at the same low level. Note: the webcam preview in the screenshot is with exaggerated settings to highlight how. In the panel that opens, use the various sliders to change the brightness, contrast, hue, sharpness, etc. FWIW, brightness control is working when using the iGPU (using amdgpu driver) instead of the dGPU, but in that case the external monitor doesn’t work because the nvidia driver can’t be used as output sink for amdgpu. Open the Available webcams dropdown and select a webcam. Tried updating grub but no result from this post.
